Import from Med-emass Elixir

The following items are converted:

Dependants Beneficiaries People  are added and linked to Accounts .

Macros Invoice templates

The wizard will start by establishing a connection to your Elixir database.  Elixir uses the Firebird SQL server.  The wizard will have the default connection parameters set, but you can change them if necessary.

Click Connect when you are ready to connect to the database.  If the wizard is able to connect successfully you will then be asked to select which practices you want to convert:

Select the practices you want to convert by checking the checkboxes  next to each practice.  Click Import when you are ready.  The data conversion will begin.  This can take quite a long time depending on the size of your Elixir database.  You should not attempt to interrupt Panacea during this process.  Data conversion progress will displayed throughout:

If an error occurs during the data conversion Panacea will display an error message.  If this happens please make a careful note of the entire message and contact Datamax for advice.  You should NOT use the converted database if any error messages are displayed.

If the Elixir database is imported successfully Panacea will confirm that it is finished:

Click Close to close the wizard.

Important

After importing your Elixir database you should not start using the imported practices until you have checked that the data was converted correctly.  Please perform the following tasks before attempting to use Panacea:

  • Print an Age Analysis report in both Elixir and Panacea.  Make sure that the totals agree 100% on both reports.
  • Examine a sample of accounts (preferably recent ones) to ensure that each person's details are correct and that all account settings are accurate.

Before starting to use Panacea you should also do the following:
