Referral Info Defaults

Certain funders require referral information to be printed on statements.  Panacea does this by printing a message on the statement that looks like this:

"Joe referred by Dr Andrew Smith (BHF No. 1234567) (K85.8)".

However, Panacea does not print this information unless it is required since it takes up valuable space on the statement.

In deciding whether to print referral info, Panacea does the following:

  • Panacea will first look at the patient's account.  The Referral info field is on the Settings tab  under Statement settings.
  • If the Referral info field on the account is set to Default then Panacea will look at the funder (if set).  The funder's referral info setting is on the Statement Settings tab .
  • If the Referral info field on the funder is set to Default - or no funder is specified for the account - then Panacea will use the defaults set on the General tab  of Statement settings (System - Practice Settings - Statements - Statement settings).
